Hon'ble Justice Devi Prasad Singh was appointed as Judge of Allahabad High Court in 2003. In 2015, he demitted the office of High Court Judge on reaching the age of superannuation. He was appointed on 16.03.2015, appointed as Judicial Member, Armed Forces Tribunal, Kolkata (WB) and on 14.09.2015, he joined as Judicial Member, Armed Forces Tribunal, Regional Bench, Lucknow after transfer from AFT, Kolkata.
Vide orders of Hon'ble NGT dated 23.08.2018 passed in OA 116 of 2014 in re Meera Shukla versus Municipal Corporation, Gorakhpur constituted the Eastern U.P. Rivers and Water Reservoirs Monitoring Committee and vide order of Hon'ble NGT dated 12.10.2018 passed in OA No. 606 of 2018 in the Matter of Compliance of Municipal Waste Management Rules, 2016 constituted the U.P. Solid Waste Management Monitoring Committee. Hon'ble Justice Devi Prasad Singh has been appointed the Chairman of both these Committees.
He joined UP Judicial Service on 05.08.1985 and served as Civil Judge (JD) & (SD) in Allahabad, Mirzapur, Banda, Unnao, Barabanki. He was appointed as CJM Allahabad and as Addl. District Judge at Allahabad, Hardoi , Agra and Bareilly. He was also appointed as Spl. Judge CBI, Lucknow and was promoted to the post of District Judge, Rampur in 2014 and District Judge, Chandauli and Lucknow. He served as Sr. Registrar, High Court, Allahabad at Lucknow for about two years.
He has completed B.Sc (Biology) from MG Degree College, Gorakhpur and M.Sc (Botany) from Gorakhpur University.He graduated with a LL.B degree from Allahabad University .
Pratishtha Singh holds a LL.B. degree from Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi and a LL.M. degree from Stanford Law School, USA specializing in Environmental Law and Policy.
She worked as a legal associate at a law firm in New Delhi with expertise in Natural Resources Laws, Public Policy, International Law, Climate Change, Energy and Constitutional Law. She was also a legal advisor for corporate advisory at a technology management and consultancy firm. Her work has included drafting laws and policies for various State Governments and International Organizations such as The World Bank, UNDP, USAID etc; drafting legal opinions and writ petitions; and developing in-house publication material on environmental clearances.
She is enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi since 2012.
A QFI, test pilot, and a pioneer of Mirage-2000 fleet, who has commanded a Mirage 2000 Squadron and the Aircraft and Systems Testing Establishment (ASTE) of the Indian Air Force (IAF). Also commanded operational airbases in both Western and Eastern sectors.
He was Head of IAF in J&K, and head of operational Inspections of the IAF. He retired as Air Officer Personnel. He was a member of the Armed Forces Tribunal, Lucknow Bench from 2013 to 2017, and member of the Executive Council of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) for two years. In addition to the four Presidential awards, he is recipient of Gandhi Family Peace Medal for his work in J&K.
